We have Le Studio for 2, L’Apartement for 2-4 and La Maison for 2-8.

The village is located in the heart of the minervois wine and cathare area within the languedoc-roussillon region,but also on the border of the herault region.

It enjoys the mediterranean weather and has a cafe/bar, boulangerie, spar shop, patisserie, post office, beautifully positioned church, Andres Ferme restaurant set on a farm overlooking the mountains and vinyards with fresh food and reservations booked by us on request.

Both the canal and lac du jouarres are within a few kilometres of the village and we have 2 caveau’s called du silene and chateau geary which sell the wine they produce in the village.

As the name states you can enjoy the freedom of the area with no ties and relax in total comfort.

With 3 stunning properties to choose from, our luxurious spa lounge pool with swim and jacuzzi jets including a table to relax with glass of local wine and a space for the children to play it is the perfect place to get away.

You can also make yourself at home with our stone barbecue.

If you would like to explore the region there is plenty to do and with the beaches approximately 40-45km or the man made beach with the restaurant at lac du juarres only 10 minutes away you’ll never be short of options.

You will receive a welcome basket and a sample of local wine direct from the cave.

We are sure you can enjoy the most relaxing atmosphere in the South of France.

It is just 200m to the pistes across a footbridge, and 5 minutes walk to the shop and restaurants of the spa village of Monetier-les-Bains.

A heated pool, sauna and steam room are available for relaxation at the end of the day, or for lounging by in the summer months.

It is an ideal location for easy access to the slopes, but still close to the village.

It is also a lovely summer location with rafting, kayaking and mountain biking all close by.

Chairlifts are open in July and August for walkers, climbers and mountain bikers.

The front entrance lobby opens onto a small hallway, with coat hooks, and storage cupboard.

A double bedroom, and a luxurious shower room which also houses the washing machine, are accessed off the hallway.

The open-plan lounge area, with flat screen TV, DVD and ipod docking station opens onto the sunny terrace.

Comfortable sofa beds sleep up to three people and there is a dining table with 4 chairs.

The kitchenette is well-equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, small oven, and 4-ring ceramic hob.

It is ideal for families or couples, and will sleep 4 in comfort. Pets are welcome.

The apartment has underfloor heating, using the water from the local thermal springs.

The resort is committed to the use of greener energy, and uses a high percentage power from a renewable source.

There is plenty of cupboard and drawer space, and a hair dryer and shaver socket in the bathroom.

Swimming pool is open air, but is heated by the hot springs of the area.

There is also a sauna and hammam (a Turkish style steam room) and a relaxation area with loungers.

Each apartment has it’s own private changing cubicle.

A decked area is used for sunbathing around the pool in the summer.

The jacuzzi and hot tub refer to the shared spa facilities (heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room.)

The terrace and garden have beautiful views of the ski slopes and mountains.

A large, safely-fenced communal area offers swings and a boules court.

Bi-lingual English owners live on-site for help and advice – we pride ourselves on offering a helpful, yet unobtrusive service.

Many of our clients return and recommend us to friends and family.

Dogs are welcome to bring well-behaved owners to La Belle Vilaine – Gites South Brittany.

La Belle Vilaine is ideally situated in Brittany for those looking for the best of both worlds.

Your holiday cottage (or gite ) is set in a peaceful, friendly hamlet with panoramic countryside views, amazing wildlife (swallowtail butterflies and black kites fly over the cottages’ gardens during the spring and summer and the neighbouring woods are host to red squirrels and black woodpeckers) and within easy walking distance of the beautiful River Vilaine ( fishing permits available locally).

Yet only a 5-minute drive will bring you to St. Dolay with bakers, butchers, chemist, post office, bars and restaurants.

A 5-min drive in the other direction brings you to Nivillac with a post office, bars, tabac, boulangerie, new mini-supermarket (with butcher’s counter) and Friday night Pizza/roast chicken take-away van – complete with its own wood-burning stove!

At just 10 minutes drive is the picturesque, medieval town of La Roche-Bernard , with its cobbled streets, riverside eateries, boat hire, river cruises, swimming pool, large Thursday market, supermarkets and all necessary facilities.

Closer to home is the local bar at St. Cry (food very limited – hot dogs, no chips!) – a 25 minute walk away from your gite, run by friendly, French owners and offering a free games corner (pool, bar-football, darts and video game) and, like La Belle Vilaine, children- and dog-friendly.

For beach-lovers the long, sandy beach of La Mine D’Or, Pénestin is just 30 mins drive away – take a picnic and use the on-beach facilities, or eat out in the nearby restaurants.

A 40-minute drive takes you to the wonderful medieval city of Vannes and the Golfe de Morbihan with its islands and nature reserves.

Closer to home you will find La Grande Brière – just into the Loire Atlantique region – a miniature version of the Norfolk Broads.

Take a guided tour in a punt, or on a horse-drawn cart, or hire a rowing boat (dogs permitted) and strike out on your own to discover the amazing wealth of wildlife on offer!

Alternatively, follow the well-marked walks which take you through the heart of the marshlands.

Pic-nic outdoors or indoors whilst watching the wildlife.

At Lindbergh-Plage, you are in the heart of the sand dune country, which are protected by the National Trust. When you enter the beaches of Lindbergh-Plage, you will find beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue sea, also dunes, to your left and right, which are splendid for relaxation or walking with your dogs.

At Barneville-Plage, a family sea resort, you find full of possibilities for those who enjoy large open spaces between sea and country, for them and your pets.

Sea-n-dogs offers five large villas, with all enclosed gardens : 3 at Lindbergh Plage (La Pacotte, La Ronce, Le Mascaret), 1 at Denneville-Plage (La Baliste) and 1 Barneville-Plage (La Bisquine). All are close to the sand dunes and only 200-500m from the beach.

Details

At Lindbergh and Barneville, you can relax in peace and quiet or alternatively you can enjoy sun bathing and swimming, sailing, wind-surfing, surf casting, fishing and some times, also look after our nice dolphins – all this is on your doorstep.

You can also go hiking or mountain bike riding in the sand dunes, and walking with several dogs.

At Lindbergh-Plage, the Classic cars ‘s owners also are welcome and find facilities with garage, tools and help from Joe, the owner of several Classic cars: MG TC, Willys Overland etc.

SPORT

You are never far from a tennis court, horse riding centre and regular ferries to Channel Islands, Sailing schools and clubs. At Saint Jean la Rivière there are also golf courses: 12 holes.

LOCAL PLACES OF INTEREST

We are not far from all the historic sites of Normandy, with le Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux and its Cathedral and Reine Mathilde’s tapestry, the D-Day beaches (Utah-Beach, Sainte Mère l‘Eglise), Cherbourg and the City of the Sea.

GASTRONOMIC DELIGHTS

The lovely towns of Portbail and Carteret are nearby with stores, super-market, bars and nice sea-food restaurants, and you find easily our apple’s products: Calvados, cider, apple tarts, also sea-food and cheese: Camembert , Livarot.

The ground floor has a white fitted kitchen along the length of one wall.

The dining area has a solid oak table and chairs looking out over the garden and views down the valley.

There is a comfortable lounge area with settees, a TV and wood burning fire, there are electric radiators for those who prefer them.

Upstairs there is a large bedroom with laminated flooring in beech, a king sized bed. en suite shower room, consisting of a large shower with massage jets.

Towels and co-ordinated bed linen are supplied.

From the huge garden, of over 2000M2 there are wonderful views over the “Monts du Morvan”.

The garden is fully fenced.The house is built over a cellar so there are several steps up to the front door.

At the start of the garden, nearest the road there is a barn destined to be used as the garage for our client’s cars.

The garden faces onto the village green and the cottage is situated well down the garden.

The hamlet of Valouze consists of some twenty houses and it, along with the neighbouring hamlet are on a “cul de sac”, so there is no through traffic whatsoever.

The hamlet is situated on numerous marked walking trails of varying distances.

Valouze

The hamlet of Valouze is situated in the commune of Chissey-en-Morvan at an altitude of 480 meters, within a fold of the mountains above the valley of the river Ternin.

The Ternin joins with the river Arroux near Autun.

The town Autun is twenty kilometers distant and of gallo-roman origin with 16,000 inhabitants
